What's the Best Way for a Couple to Play?
My girlfriend and I have recently gotten pretty hooked on BeatSaber and playing daily. We have been doing all our play on custom songs in party mode and selecting one of our names at the end and ~~talking trash~~ declaring victory over one another.

We've made our way to where we can both do Expert level songs and are pushing Expert+ now.

It seems like the Solo mode has a lot of fun ranking systems showing global/local scores on a leaderboard.

So what's the best way to proceed? Is there a way we can continue knowing who is getting what score while being able to complete on the ranking system?

It feels like a waste to continue in party mode.

We're playing by sharing/swapping a Vive or Pimax on my Steam account on my PC.

Thanks!

If you wanted both of your scores to be posted in Solo mode, you'd have to play on separate steam accounts (Scoresaber is tied to your steam account). In that case, you'd have to either purchase another version for her account, or game share it with her. If you only have one headset, this would be a bit awkward since you'd have to keep changing accounts when taking turns to post scores. If you were able to get a 2nd headset (and pc to support it), there is also a multiplayer mod as well (although I personally haven't really used it, not sure how updated it is currently), and devs do have plans for official multiplayer in the future.

If you really care about global scores, those would be your best options. Otherwise, playing in party mode is the more convenient option.

I hate to tell you this, but because you installed the scoresaber plugin - and that plugin currently submits scores set during party mode - you already have a profile with both of your scores mixed together.

It actually won't submit when playing in party mode. Scores are only ever submitted when in Solo (Free) mode. It's a reason why when testing WIP maps, we tell people to play in party mode/practice mode, to avoid scoreboards being generated.

Hrm. I was not aware of that bug. It wasn't supposed to be posting the scores when in party mode lol. Hopefully they got that sorted out.
