Mods will not install with BeatDrop or ModAssistant
I haven't played in a very long time but I did use BeatDrop in the past with no issues on this computer. Couple of things, I am now running the most updated version of Beat Saber, I have also tried the beta but reverted after that also failed to work. Modding isn't working for either version.

I have done a completely clean uninstall of BS and the mods, including deleting their folders from the hard drive before re-installing. I am on the admin account of this pc, and I have tried running the mod apps As Administrator.

- Clean re-install
- Run the game before installing mods
- Install BeatDrop newest version.
- Run IPA.exe once BSIPA is installed from BeatDrop
- select the mods I want installed from beatdrop.
- Run BS twice
- no mods installed

Similar process for ModAssistant. In the settings the installation folder is set correctly (pretty common install folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Beat Saber).

After selecting the mods for install and they show as activated, I check the plugins folder and there is not a single file in there. Nothing is actually installing though they show as activated. In BeatDrop you can Scan for Mods in settings. When I do this, it scans and sees no mods installs, and removes all of my selected mods from Activated, as if nothing happened. With ModAssistant it is similar but there is no "check for mods" it just shows my list of mods with the "uninstall" option there, but yet there are no mods installed in the plugins folder.

Randomly, in my many re-install attempts, in BeatDrop when I selected "check for mods" I would see a message stating that the plugin folder cannot be found, even though it exists and the directory is correctly set. This only happened twice, all other times I never saw that message.

Finally, I tried to have a friend just send me their lib and plugin folder contents and see if this would work. I just pasted the entire folder contents into my own and they show up as installed in both modding programs. The game will not load those mods as installed however. Very weirdly, in ModAssistant at least, I can choose to uninstall one of those mods and I can watch as the mod is deleted from the Plugin folder. However when I choose to re-install that mod, ModAssistant says it is installed, but nothing appears in the plugin folder.

Sorry I know thats long but I wanted to be as detailed as possible. WTF mates

Quick update. I did another clean install using the github BSIPA download and my friends files only, no modding programs. I am getting the mods to load fine now it seems. I am still super confused as to why the modding programs will not install mods on their own though.

Last I checked, mods stopped working when the 360 patch came out. As of patch 1.7?(current) mod assistant greys out the version, which I took as it saying there are no mods currently out for 1.7. If you want to use those mods, you'll have to install an earlier version of the game.

I actually got the mods working with the latest version of the game. After another clean re-install, I manually installed BSIPA and then the mod files themselves, without using either modding program. It works now.
