11.2 update box cutting sound volume
Hi Devs,

I noticed that in the 11.2 update the sound volume of the boxes being cut was reduced. For me that had two negative effects:

1 - It reduced the impression of how powerfull the hits were making the simple act of hitting a box less satisfying.
2- Reduced the feeling that I was contributing to the music. With the original sound volume I felt like each cut complemented the music.

This slight change made the game less enjoyable for me.

Love your game, keep up the good work guys!

I second this feeling. Haptic vibration was reduced too... Not liking it...

Same for me. Now it feels like I'm just randomly flailing my arms, there is almost no physical feedback due to the reduced haptic feedback and sound.
Interestingly, crossing the sabers and the obstacles have the same haptic strenght like before the update. I really hope it's just an unintended change.

They should add a sparate volume slider for the box cutting sound so you can adjust it yourself

that's exactly how I'd describe it - " just randomly flailing my arms now"

Definitely not as satisfying to play as it used to be. Maybe the change suits experts and modders - I'm just an occasional easy/normal player, but for me the 'feel' of the game has been lost now.

Maybe add a slider to control box cutting volume and hapatic feedback, or even a check box option. There are some plusses about the quieter cutting--it makes it easier to focus on the music--but at the same time it is less satisfying. Having an option we can control would be a ncie improvement, allowing players to choose themselves which they prefer.

Or, you could get really fancy and automatically dial down the effects during the mellow parts of the song, and bring them back up during the loud parts :)

Cool idea! It could also be proportional to how strong you hit the box.

Im not sure if you noticed but you already can change the volume in settings

From what I can tell, you can't change the volume of the song relative to the other sounds. You can change the volume of menu bg music, hits, etc. but all that doesn't matter when it's all maxed out at 1.0, and the hits are still inaudible.

My thoughts exactly.
I find it hard to understand if i hit or miss some block, and all chain is ruined.

Is this still an issue? My sounds went back to normal some time ago and I thought they fixed it. If others are still having low hit sounds it might have been that reinstalling Windows (and thus everything else as well including) fixed it for me.
