Playing while seated?
I've been thinking of buying this game, but I also saw some videos where there's things you need to avoid, which you can't really do while seated. So... Is the "Seated" play thing on the store page just a mistake? I'm asking this because I saw on the Oculus store it's not available to seated players.

Well, there ARE obstacles to dodge ... That said, people have written mods to get rid of obstacles, so you probably COULD play it seated if you wanted
Yes, you can play seated (I have done it and others have too). Dodging columns CAN be a matter of moving your head to the side or ducking. The game is a LOT more fun if you are standing and even more fun if you do room scale and move around more (as you see in many of the more viral mixed reality videos).

You will still need space to wave your arms around and make certain you don't hit desks or the chair or yourself.
Steam has a very generous refund policy. So give it a go and if it doesn't play the way you need it to play, refund it.
Just make sure you refund within the policy time limit.

Alright, gave it a go, it's not really comfortable to play while sitting. (And I won't stand up to play it cuz I can't lol)
Already refunded

It's a great game though.

I was just thinking about this today. Very briefly but it did cross my mind. You would want to adjust your Y-position (height of the floor) appropriately so that you can duck under the obstacles and still reach the high notes. It might help to set the player height as short as possible but I don't know how that actually works. It may affect the vertical spacing of the notes if I were to guess. Hell I might try that right now.

Fun fact I didn't even need to set my Y-position. I was already short enough as it is XD

I often play seated, no problems what so ever.
