Honestly I could go on listing them for ages, but these are the ones I play the most as they are just plain fun.
There are some nice playlists on bsaber.com - Songs With Fantastic Flow playlists are pretty good.
i love the swing tracks too.
i wanna be like you is fantastic, a lot of fun to play.
another similar one is "hit the road jack"
most anything by bennydabeast is usually extremely well mapped and fun too.
Erectin' a River
Night Witches
Winged Hussars
Koto (bit easy, but I love this groove)
Intergalactic
Backbone
Uprising
Knights of Cydonia
Rio (EC1)
Energy Drink (the Expert+ one)
There are a few others, but these are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.
LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
Dead or Alive - You spin me round
Usher - DJ got us fallin in love
Dance with the dead - Watching You
There is a really good map for it that basically makes you do the dance, I'm not such a fan of the song but the map for it is really well done.
- Great sync with the song's rythm
- Good flow
- A lot of different patterns, a lot of unique and interesting ones as well
- Very little repeating segments, there's unique patterns all the way through
- Patterns do a really great job at emphasizing parts of the song, you can "feels" the song by just looking at them
I also personally love that song, and the map does a fantastic job visualizing it. It's almost a decent challenge, definitely one of the harder Expert maps out there. It's also a good workout, thanks to the kind of things it throws at you, you really need to move your arms and body. It's just perfect IMO, I always start and end my sessions with it.
i'v always liked more grungy, bassline-driven alternative rock than techno or trance, i mean, i utterly love my doof, but rock feels more free because there aren't as many rules for it when compared to electronic stuff. dancing to it doesn't feel so robotic, and the tempo changes every so often as well.
still waiting for any decent dub-reggae to make it to the lists as well. that's also great music to dance to if you find the right song or the right artist. there's currently only one song by Snoop Lion and, yeah, while it's a good song and all i'd still love to see some Alborosie or a remix of Bob Marley in there. some nice dark reggae with those demented-as-♥♥♥♥ dub beats. the ♥♥♥♥ that so-called "dubstep" WANTS to be, "Herbalist" or "Kingston Town" or even some light and fluffy "Will You Be Loved" ... that'd be great for old farts like me.
something that i have noticed that is a fairly general rule across all genres is that the songs that have all skill-levels mapped out are the ones that flow from beat to beat better, and the songs that have nothing but expert++ more often than not are mapped out with less thought paid to the rhythm of the song than there is to waggling two thrusty, rigid dildos around like the world's biggest douchebag. no matter what genre i'v chosen at the time, i want to have fun having a dance, not see if i can break the world record for masturbating the most people to orgasm within three-and-a-half minutes.
