The ones you are talking about are max hand movement, which are dumb as well. But I am talking about minimum hand movements.
I am talking about minimum hand movements, I don't think you understand what I said.
Keep your hands in the middle of the play area, don't move them, just move your wrists (or rotate your wrists, may be a better wording).
I also hope that you understand that what you're saying is "teaching game mechanics to players is dumb".
That's maximum, not minimum. The min one is how much you need to move to reach your goal. The max is how much you can move before you can lose. It doesn't teach anything, it's dumb.
You're right I mixed them up.
But it does teach you how the scoring mechanics works. You just can't do high scores without doing strong movements with your arms (and therefore your hands), so it does teach you how to score.
No it's dumb. I can beat a song without having to move my hands like a maniac for no reason. Or maybe flailing around like an idiot before the score board pops up so you can gain a couple more meters is a normal thing to do in a beat saber level.
The point is not to show you how to beat a song, the point is to show you scoring mechanics. You can't get SS+ without doing this. If you don't care about scoring and is playing only to have fun and don't want a genuine challenge, this campaign is most likely not for you.
Not my favorite though
If you just want to play songs and not worry about score/technique, then you'll keep coming across this kind of problem in the campaign. It's not Solo Mode.
