Nevermind multiplayer is dead on xbox one x waited 2 hours to play with someone but there was not a single person playing multiplayer.

I thought devs were going to add a party system but I think that fell through the cracks. Haven’t heard anything about it in a long time.

Ranked mode was canceled due to technical reasons.

There’s a ton of issues with the multiplayer but I think it’s too late in this game’s life and they won’t be fixed.

For now all you can really do is reach out to other players and try to know regulars who play and form a group where you can spam invites and people respond to them.

The kicking issue is due to a lack of balancing features in the game. You can’t scale resources or unit health/damage etc for individual players so there is no way to balance people.

If you are very low level, or very high level prepare to be kicked. There’s no way to accommodate you if you don’t fit in with the rest of the lobby.

There is no option for console users to host their own games. The servers you see, are our dedicated servers. Nobody is kicking you out, because nobody is a host. We've been having some issues with dedicated servers since release, they should be resolved shortly. That may be why you were "kicked" in the past. Check the console discord that was created by the community - it will be easier for you to find out at what time most of them play.

Thing is I see these games and they say 3/6 or 2/4 on players and I'm like ok so theres 3 players in the game/lobby/room waiting to play so I join the room but I then find out its 3 A.I not 3 players 🙄

So how can I tell if the room has players in it if the numbers lie?

The numbers don't lie, they say how many slots are there and how many are occupied. AI occupies slot, so it's in the numbers. You can know whether the server has AI or not by checking if it's PvE or PvP. You can even filter the search by those and search only PvP if you do not want to play versus AI.
