Portal 2 No Steam

When ever i try to play portal 2 it gos to the main menu but it says No Steam and Quit. can anyone help me?

Restart Steam or your computer, I have got it once and restarting helps. Not sure if it is a global problem right now though, have not played this game for a few weeks.

or close steam and ''Your Drive''/Program Files/Steam/clientregistry.blob delete it and start!

i know how to fix it. here. just simply launch steam, go to steam store and search for portal 2.
once you find it, click on "purchase" button.
most people had the same problem, but when they did this, it suddenly got fixed. not to mention that it also fixes co-op, so you can also play that too ;3.

Doing a reboot solved my connection issue.

This was the solution to mine as well! Before this I restarted Steam twice and Portal twice and was still getting the issue. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate in 64-bit.
