Steam Workshop "R" Button Problem
Okay, so. I'm having a problem with the rating system. More precisely the in-game rating system. You know, when you press the "R" button while playing and it brings up that overlay similar to the Gestures menu in Coop? Well, when I do it, it gets stuck on that and all I can do is move the arrow around the choices. I can't move forward, and I can't select it to get rid of it. I have to COMPLETELY back out of the game to get it to go away. The big problem is that the R button is right next to the default "Use" button, "E." So I tend to accidentally hit it a lot. Does anyone know of anyway to fix this, or change the hotkey button?

Yes it is. I haven't changed it and there is no way TO change it. At least not in "Options", "Keyboard/Mouse", "Edit Keys/Buttons."

I'm having this same problem, but apparently we're the only ones. It was not fixed in the patch, and has not been addressed since you originally posted; this is the only post listed when I search "getsure menu".

That is weird. I haven't played in awhile. I wonder if it is working now.

Open your consle.

Type key_listboundkeys.

In the list that will appear, you'll which key is bound to what action. You will even see the action you can't modify in the Edit Key options.

Use the Unbind command to remove what you want and the Bind command to replace actions.

i.e.
unbind r
bind j "+gesture"

Oh my god. Thank you. It seems so simple. I just don't know much about the console commands. I'm trying to learn this stuff. Thanks again. :D

Do you mind bumping an old thread?
Gurkoel Apr 16, 2020 @ 3:16am
No I dont mind neither am i bumping. Still trying to reach out for a fix that is user friendly. Valve is known to feature fixes for old games so they might settle a fix when they recognize.

This feature was removed as a bind entirely and it doesn't function. I highly doubt valve will fix this. I have tried asking them to fix other bugs and no update has come out so don't expect a fix from them.
