Future of Cosmetic Items in Portal 2?

Now that the PeTI supports Co-op, do you think there will be more interest in cosmetic items? What if a drop system and crate/key system was added? I love the cosmetic items already in place with Portal 2, but I feel like it's nowhere near the level of TF2 and Dota 2, and there have been no signs of any more being added...

I think a whole drop / crates % key would anger a lot of consumers and probably get the same response as the "Day 1" dlc for portal 2. It might get added later on, but, if anything, in a completly different system than tf2.

Yeah, The key/crate system just will get more players to hate on Valve.

drop system: Good if there is lots of items like in tf2, Crate and key? not so much. It would be kinda funny if their was 3 boxes though: Weighted storage Cube (Drops skins) Antique (1940's, underground) (drops wearables) and Weighted Companion Cube (drops gestures)

Maybe a crate and key system would be a bit much, but the cosmetic item situation in Portal 2 is pretty atrocious.

They've been promising since launch that they'd fix issues with the preorder items, but nothing's happened. YEARS after release.
