Steam Community In-Game

Hi, I have come across a problem where for some reason, Portal 2 dosn't see that I have the in-game community enabled. Yes, I do have it enabled, but for some reason it dosn't think so. So I can't choose what user levels I want to do, and i can't use the mic for some reason. Please help!

Bump. I can technicaly just download the levels I want out of game, and I can use skype the talk to my friends, but it's so inconvinient.

go to your games library, right click portal 2, hit properties, in one of the tabs there should be an option that says: enable steam community in game. Check it off, and the it should work.

Thanks, but like I said, I'm smart enough to have check the settings and I enabled it before I posted on the forum. It's enabled in the steam preferances and the portal 2 game preferances, but it still dosn't work in-game for me.

Strangly enough though, I can still use shift-tab to get the steam menu in-game. Portal 2 just dosn't let me see the workshop in game.

hmmmm, i do not know then. so, what happens if you try to go to the steam workshop from the shift tab menu?

ok, so the game itself dosen't recognize steam community in game, hmm. This is a tricky one. I'm not sure what to do. Try contacting steam support or valve about it. Sorry I couldn't be much help.

Same problem here too, I'm also using a Mac so perhaps it's a problem with the Mac version.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm also having the same issue. I guess we'll have to wait on an update? Not sure.
