Portal 2
Why is aperture science called Aperture science?
I understand that 'aperture' means opening hole and it makes sense to call it that because of the Portals. But when the facility opened, there were no Portal guns invented yet! Is there any other mature reason why a scientific facility should be called Aperture?

um...nope, they DO have portals when opening aperture. after all, when you fall down in the old aperature labs you can't get through them without a portal-gun . and why not? ''aperture'' sownds well enough, to name ANY facility 'aperture'.

"Aperture" means "hole". Cave Johnson started with Aperture Fixtures, a manufacturer of shower curtain rings (with holes). Then Cave bought a salt mine (a hole) and created Aperture Science. Then came the portal-gun (a hole-maker). Then he fell in love with Caroline (a ho).

I just want to say that the "Portal Lore in a Minute" video isn't completely accurate. I haven't watched it in a while and I'm not in the mood to put in the effort now, but I definitely remember that much, for what it's worth.
