windows 8???

i got a new laptop and it has windows 8 on it. Portal 2 keeps crashing when i try to actually play the game. help???? i'm pretty sure it's not my laptop because other games work.

yo tengo el mismo problema, he buscado alguna solución pero aparentemente no se podrá solucionar por ahora, siento no poder contestar en ingles pero no conozco muy bien el idioma

When i added "-windowed" in the Portal 2 Properties under "Set Launch Options..."
it started under Windows 8 without a crash.

So this might be a workaround until a patch gets released.
