Portal 2 without internet?
Can I play Portal or Portal 2 with minimal (ideally no) internet access -- like on a cruise ship, where internet access makes up for very slow access with a lack of reliability and high cost per minute ?

You can run steam in offline mode and play games anyway.

As long as your games are fully updated before you switch to Offline Mode. Obviously coop mode won't work without internet but you can download signle player community maps and play them just fine in offline mode.

can still paly single player or split screen co op with a controller
