Portal 2 Free with PS3 Version help...

When this game first game out, I bough the PS3 version and tied my PS3 account to my steam account. After I did that, I thought I would be able to download anytime in the future. I can't download the game but I can write a review on the Store Page. So im guessing steam knows I own it in some fashion.

Can anybody help?

you only hold the rights to the native version of the game you originally purchased, whether digital or a hard copy, owning the rights to a ps3 version does not entitle you to a free PC copy of the game even if your accounts are linked. Why is this? you may ask it's probably to stop downloading copies which they aren't entitled too, If I owned various games on psn and then linked my profiles and if I was then allowed to download PC versions of said games there would be nothing stopping me to say allow my friends to link my account to their steam and give them the games that I have already played, for free.

Steam Portal 2 used to be given away for free with PS3 Portal 2.

I assume it is no longer offered, you need a new code from the game. I have heard of people buying the PS3 copy, using the Steam code, and returned the PS3 copy.

Thanks for the post. I thought I redeemed it when I bought it (at launch) oh well.

Its actually pretty cheap on gamefly downloads with some other valve games.
