BLACK SCREEN: Problem? Bug? How fix to fix it?

I bought Portal 2 a time ago, and decided to download today.
I usually played for a few hours and go out for dinner, but when i went to play again, i load and the screen went black, i had to unplug the computer because the Alt+ Ctrl + Del did not work.
How do i fix it? and why did this happen?

EDIT: The same problem happens with Alien Swarm, and Left 4 Dead 2

EDIT²: Problem solved, only delete the file named "videodefaut" in "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Portal 2\update\cfg"


Eu comprei Portal 2 a algum tempo, e decidi baixar ele hoje.
Eu joguei normalmente por algumas horas e fui jantar, mas quando eu fui jogar de novo, eu dei load e a tela ficou preta, tive que desligar o computador da tomada porque o Alt + Ctrl + Del não funcionava.
Como arrumar isso? e porque isso aconteceu?

EDIT: O mesmo problema acontece com Alien Swarm , e Left 4 Dead 2

EDIT²: Problema resolvido, é só apagar o arquivo nomeado "videodefaut" na pasta "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Portal 2\update\cfg"

same thing for me it's black but I hear the sound. And how do you get to that?

Just delete the file called "videodefaut" in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Portal 2\update\cfg
PS: you have to delete every time you play
