Game taking ages to download!
It says it'll take 1 day and 4 hours to dowload. It's also been at least an hour and it's at 4%! Any suggestions?

Okay, seriously though, does your Steam have to update? I suggest restarting your PC; if not, check your internet provider or something, if you have DSL, reset it.

Go to speedtest.net check your stats, also check how much of the game was downloaded so far(in MB/GB) and check the download speed of the game.

My download speed is 0.29mbps. My laptop sucks.....

My download speed is 0.29mbps. My laptop sucks.....

Do you have friends nearby? I'm sure you could download the game on their PC, transfer it to a flash drive, and install it on your home laptop.

two things:

NEVER trust computer genarated "time left remaining" things THEY ARE NEVER ACCURATE!
also the game is 6 gigabytes and with a bad internet connaction it wont download fast

portal 2 is pretty much designed for pc and mac, and your laptop cant handle big games like portal 2 (any laptop cant really :P)
