Portal 2
where can find a full script of the game?
I'm looking for a full script, with dialogue as said in the order of the game. GameFAQs has something, but it's extremely messy because it's grouped by character, not by the events in the game. I found one for the first Portal and transferred it to a film script program called Celtx (I used it for a screenwriting class in college).

*PS. - wouldn't it be sweet if "they" actually made a real movie of both games? Sadly, that's be virtually impossible, given how elaborate the games are in set and character.

Wait, did you use the script for Portal 1 in a college class?

No. I found it online. The script writing program is what I used. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Script writing program? So like, to type your script in, for a college class? Okay, why do you even need the script in the first place?

I want to make a series like the "chell's mind" for youtube. There are a few already, but I want to make one. :)

https://www.celtx.com/index.html - if you're interested. :) We used the free version for my class and I loved it!

I don't know if there is one. The things various characters say does change depending on what you do, with lots of extra dialogue if the player doesn't do what they are told to do (easy example: if you don't answer the door at the beginning of the game, Wheatley will say a bunch of lines to try convince you to open the door.) The Portal Wiki has a pretty complete list[theportalwiki.com], but it's still split by character. Maybe the subtitle files could be useful (in "portal 2/portal2/resource", Peer Review stuff is is "portal 2/portal2_dlc1/resource", Cave's Workshop dialogue would be in "portal 2/portal2_dlc2/resource") but I doubt it.

The way the actual sound files/lines are organised ingame doesn't really have much order. The exact order of maps mainly decides how dialogue is spoken. You might be able to look at some of the scripting files to determine how lines are spoken (in "portal 2/portal2/scripts/", see above for some more folders.) GLaDOS's scripts actually contain the other character's lines, for simplicity. To help you find things, Act 1 is the Announcer, Act 2 is GLaDOS, Act 3 is Cave Johnson and Act 4 is Wheatley.

Thanks. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to go through the game again and write everything down. I want to print said script and make edits to add my "character" in, but that's it. It's going to suck up a lot of paper and ink, but hey, that's part of the writing process. :)

Hey! I know this post is nearly ten years old, but I've been looking for the script myself for my own project, and I thought I'd join in on the conversation :) I'm a screenwriting graduate and I decided that as a fun writing exercise for myself, I'll be writing a film adaption of Portal. There's no intention other the fun and learning experience, but I might put it up into my portfolio (when I actually make one lol).

EDIT: the Portal wiki has a script for each chamber!
