Crossplay with PS3 still working?

i just have a quick question, the Portal 2 crossplay with the PS3 Version of the game is still on? Because i wanna play with my brother that owns a PS3 and owns the game for that console, anyways i just wanna know if is still on or not

I looked at it a few months ago, and the answer is no.
The game can't connect to Steam Friends network anymore.
It shows news and stuff, but that's about it.

you might be able to download an old, pre-puzzlemaker version of portal 2 and play that over PS3. Realistically, the only thing stopping the games from communicating is the version difference.

Did your brother buy the game on disc? The PS3 version should have come with a code for the Steam version, it might still work (maybe a long shot)

I believe that there is a tutorial on youtube that teaches how to re-enable crossplay although I believe it involves modding your ps3 but I'm not sure, you should check for yourself.
