I've seen a couple of tests where caves voice is at the begining talking about the "last test", but the funny thing is that those tests were made by different users. I think. And of course I had subscribed to them at different times. Can anyone tell me more about this please. Did I miss a memo?

Every time you play a custom made map Cave Johnson will say something. There are like 100 different things he can say, and they are in order. If you play a map, it'll play soundfile 1 for example. In the next level you're playing it'll play soundfile 2, and so on.

There are many custom "story mode campaigns" out there dude. My favorite is called Cosmogony. Look it up in the workshop :) It has a custom intro and credits cutscene with custom music

There's no need for "resetting". There's no story. They don't have anything to do with each other, really. They are just little messages to make you laugh, that's it.

There IS a story, actually. It's pretty loose, but it is a story.

If you type "cm_reset_vo_progress" into the dev console the lines will restart at the beginning. In addition to those hammer maps can add whatever dialogue they want, so you could have Cave talking about asbestos or whatever from the sp campaign.

That's also true... If you play a more story-oriented map, it's probably not gonna play Cave's PeTI dialogue. I usually seek out the story-oriented maps so I haven't actually heard much of his PeTI dialogue in-game, hence why I just listened to it all on Youtube. It's pretty hilarious.

I love the funny Cave comments, but the last dozen or so maps I've played haven't had any. last I heard from ol' Cave one of the other Caves had sent him some wasps instead of a gift basket of fruit so he wanted me to kill him...
maybe I've just had several maps in a row where the creators disabled his intro but most of them haven't had their own stories so it feels odd... hoping it's not bugged somehow or managed to run out of lines
