No local CO-OP option??

Hi whenever i click the "Play Cooperative Game" option on the main menu, i cannot find the "local split screen" option anywhere. i saw it before, now it disappeared. what happened?? i purchased this game only for the purpose of playing with my girlfriend

you need 2 controllers plugged in, after that in the "Play Cooperative Game" menu you'll see text that says "(Offline Splitscreen: Press X/SQUARE or Controller 2)"
Make sure that Steam recognizes both controllers and that controllers are enabled in the game's settings.

EDIT: apparently they changed it, it's just an option that says Local Spliscreen in the Co-op menu, and you can play with one controller and one keyboard/mouse.
