Can't move anymore
Hello,

I have a strange problem that i'd never had before: the functionalities "jump" and "move" suddenly stopped working while i was playing, wether with my controller or my keyboard. However, it works well outside the game, and i don't understand why it doesn't anymore in portal 2. I tried to restart the game and the controller, in vain.

Could someone explain this ?

Thanks.

Probably a glitchy update of the game.

try reinstalling the game.
in your library, right click steam and click delete lockal content.
now, just reinstall the game!
ITS WONT DELETE YOUR SAVE

write in the command console: bind "space" +jump
bind "w" forward
bind "a" left
bind "d" right

open the consule like this:

  • go to options
  • keyboard and mouse
  • delovepment consule --> ENABLED

can you go to the kayboard options and press "default"?

The "default" settings button MIGHT work. Just try it and see if it does. If not, try the re-binding method.

Hello, i can't open the console, the ~ button does nothing. But i can see in the options that the direction ans jump buttons are still bond with W A S D and SPACE, but despite that, the function are not working, even after rebinding.

In the Steam library, right click in portal 2, and in the parameters write -consolé or chance the key to open console

Concretly, what's the difference between rebinding with the menus and rebinding with the console ? I don't understand because for me, it's exactly the same.
