Need to be able to clear "My History" in Community Chambers
Reference: https://steamcommunity.com/app/620/discussions/0/613938693217946637/

This is an old complaint, but one that is still very much valid and in need of being addressed. Like many, My History is large; not as large as many here, but large none the less. And because I have a large number of played chambers in My History, it takes a long time before any of the lists (Top Rated, Most Recent, Most Popular) will populate when chosen. This is a real drag. As My History is directly tied to my Steam account, there should be an option to delete said history "if I desire to do so". In order to retain Thumbs Up/Down stats on the played chambers, just change the ownership of the history entries to a reserved, only available to Steam, 'owner'. In this way the user's My History can be cleared, but the data recorded against the chambers is retained. Seems to me to be a rather simple approach to a problem that has been around for way to long.

Hmm. Just discovered My History list is HUGE and maybe that's why it takes a while to load my Queue for unplayed games. Searching for a solution...

same issue, it's one of the reasons I don't play Portal much anymore despite it still being one of my favourite games. it's a lot of hassle to have to load the game up an hour before I want to play it just to let it load up my queue
why it even prioritises populating the history list before the queue in the first place is beyond me

And yet, still, the owners of Steam seem to choose to ignore this issue. It's easily fixable IMO.

yep, the only reason that I have no criticism of Valve's customer support is that it's impossible to criticise what does not exist

It's an old topic, but I found it having the same problem, though, I think I found somehow good solution. You go to Steam\steamapps\common\Portal 2\portal2\maps\workshop and delete all the files there. The history will still load, but the files will only be a folder with code of the map and a miniature of it, which doesn't slow down the loading that much, and if you wonder, it won't unsub your maps.

will have to see if that helps, thanks. if nothing else, it frees up 9GB

The maps itselves won't be re-downloaded unless you'll choose to play them, so it should save you a lot of SPAAAAAAACE ( Sorry, couldn't stop myself) GLaD I helped, though
