So right after glados says she has a solution that will work great for one of us (the lift after wheatly starts his hate crime law suit) I get dropped into some sort of corragated steel box. normal game sound but no gladows and i can't activate or grab anything and my portal just falls off the wall when I try to shoot it.

How do I get out?

glitch. try reloading an old save.

i try and when I do it switches the cubes out to just glados lying dead with the portal 2 logo and menu music with no buttons

This whole thing sounds like a creppypasta. Did you modify the game files at all?

no i infact only installed the game yesterday.

Maybe verify the game cache. (Google it)

only things I have found on google were ps3 fixes cache came up fine

right click on portal 2. hit propertys. hit local files. bottom of the 4 buttons.

That box appears in every map, and you teleport to it briefly before transitioning to the next level. (There's another that you spawn in and then teleport into the normal map.) I'd suggest loading an earlier save, or if that isn't possible starting a new game at the latest chapter (You'll unfortunately have to redo a bunch of maps, but that doesn't take long if you remember the solutions).
