They will do some few patches here and there,
Patches that might come because of the Steam Deck release (Kinda of irony)
They won´t do in a new engine.
Switch might be simple as game console but even the most toaster system in earth would be able to run source games with no "problemo"
Source 2 its not a option here,
Source 2 requires a system like a PS5 or a modern Gaming PC
(something that switch doesn´t have)
So VALVe,to avoid doing too much work,will simply port source games with few patches.
But this comment can change whatever games they desire to port them into switch
Portal companion collection might sell 10000 copies because of the hype of seeing Portal content back after so many years of NO portal content,
Also might add that this can be a branch to put other source related games into Switch
Which might boost the player-base of these games by introducing new demographic to these old games;

Go look at the console versions of The Orange Box, EA published them. I don't see a future for Valve in the console market, is what i'm saying.
