Gameplay not working with Macbook Pro trackpad
When I try to use my laptop's trackpad to look around in game, there's no response. The trackpad has had some issues before, but I found these were usually solved by moving the mouse around on the trackpad while the save file was loading. But recently, this no longer seems to work.


Has anyone else had a similar problem with a trackpad, or are there any solutions anyone knows to this problem?

I had the same issue, It is an issue with a macOS system setting.

Open System Preferences —> Mission Control
Uncheck the box 'Displays have separate Spaces'
Restart your MacBook Pro
Trackpad now works in Portal 2
