Physics regarding Portals on Moving Surfaces, discussed. contains Spoilers for Neurotoxin Scene.

As you may have known, the Nuerotoxin Generator scene have caused controversies, due to the supposedly, in other scenes, a Portal would have not have been maintained if the surface on it were to move. Whereas, in the nuerotoxin generator scene, it is an integral constituent.

I am not intrested, however, on whether or not it's self inconsistant. but rather on how, if Portals were to exist in real life, what would cause the malmaintnence of the Portal due to the aperent movement of the underlaying surface.

My hypothysis would have been Change in Position over Time, also known as Speed. that is of course disproven very quickly by the fact that no frame of referance is perfered. My second hypothysis would be Change in Speed over Time, also known as Acceleration, again quickly disproven by the fact that Gravitational Forces are identical to Accleration, which there are a lot of on earth, exactly 1G of it.

My current hypothysis would be Change in Acceleration over Time, with the assumtion that the convayour belt used in the Nuerotoxin Generator are always smoothely running , and that the various motars used to push pannals in the test chambers would have to start and stop.
