How big is the Portal 2 download?
Ok, so, this is important to me because I have a monthly data cap, currently, at the time of writing this, I have 38.8gb left.

So, how big is the Portal 2 download? Not disk space, I couldn't give a crap about that, but the actual download size. As in, how much it says when the game's downloading and you go to the downloads page and it says MB/(download size here) completed.

Also, I have a few source engine games installed. I have Half Life 2, Portal 1, Source SDK, Source SDK Base 2007, the Half Life: Lost Coast demo that came with Half Life 2 when I bought it, the Stanley Parable mod for Half Life 2, not the actual game but the old mod version (Stanley Parable v1.4), and Garry's Mod.

Will any of these games decrease the download size. If so, tell me the download size including what any of these games do.

Its roughly 8 gigs. Give or take a couple. To be safe I would say 10 gigs.

No it doesn't. It lists the required disk space. Check your facts before you post them.

I can't understand why people can't see the size of portal 2, and why are they saying you random numbers without sense...

its 12827MB in other words you need 12,827 Gb I just have added 4 test chambers from workshop, but man this is 12 GB

I looked this at the Portal 2 properties.

It's true that you can see at the shop that it takes 8GB only, but actually my game takes more than 12 GB so I just want give you a practical number to have in mind.

Everybody, you can stop answering. I bought the game, the download size was 6.6gb, lazy_riveN was correct.

I have a new question, since I just got the game, and have no friends that want to play it with me, will any of you guys play Portal 2 co-op with me? Just friend me or friend me and reply or reply and then friend me wahtever you want.

I can't understand why you can't read a simple question.
It's far from being 12 GB, it's only 6.6 GB to download, and that's what he asked.

Also, 12827 MB isn't equal to 12,827 GB, it's more like 12,526 GB, because computers use binomial instead of decimals, which means the change is 2^10 (which is 1024) and not 10^3.
Same between KB and MB.
