What happened after Portal 2?

So I've been wondering what happens at the end of portal 2, Like what happens after she gets released from Aperture laboratories? She is ejected from a shack in the middle of a wheat field. That interests me very much because the Wheat looks healthy and its bright the sky doesn't look polluted and theres no sign of life beond that. Another point i want to bring up is the earth, When you go to the moon ( in portal 2) you can see earth and you can see that theres a good amount of water on it and the combine take pretty much every resource on earth including water thats why theres barely any of it in HL2 so I'm wondering why there is water on earth and why is there healthy plant life on earth considering the destruction the combine make. When does Portal 2 take place

Portal 2 takes place long after half life 2 so I assume that Chell goes and explores

Since in the game's timeline HL2 happens centuries ago, it might be a sign that Freeman eventually overthrow the Combine and save their planet.

its a mystery because they don't wanna spoil how Half Life ends (even though they wont make it). But I remember the writing for i think it was HL3 or HL2 EP3 that the combine won or something like that.

It was all in chell's mind, the whole game was chell feeling guilty about killing Glados so she pretended/lied to herself that Glados is alive and they connect and have feels for each other. All while this guilt induced hallucination is playing out in Chells mind wheatly is breaking everything and chells delusion has become problematic as she is fighting back at wheatly with a pretend gLADOS (she found a potato and stuck it to her portal gun... that doesnt exist either, so basicall chells running around with a potato shooting fake portals with her fingers and jumping around). the ending visuals is a metaphor as wheatly kills chell by drowning her so she sees a field with waayy too much wheat, hence the expression: drowning in wheat. Also companion cube comes back after she died to guilt trip her even more.

Or I was playing silent hill 2 or something.

Maybe they saved earth, maybe not. But that's as far as it goes.
