Low Fps in Co-op?

Hello!

I am getting insanely low fps in co op (literally 1-3 fps) yet I get 200+ in single player.

I played co-op with a friend a couple weeks ago and it ran perfectly fine.

She is also having fps problems, isn't hosting, but its also not as severe (she gets around 15-30, still bad).

Any ideas why this may be happening? I validated game files (everything was fine) and my computer is more than powerful enough to play this.

EDIT: Also if it means anything the main menu lags a lot too, getting like 20 fps. I know that doesn't matter because who cares, but if it somehow leads to a solution maybe its helpful?

Hello, human from 2017. I have the exact same issue. Not as severe tho, I get *any* FPS in single player but menu lags, and in coop cant get over 100, but that 100 is with frame graph looking like SLAB so it feels like literal 2fps.
