Portal 2

Are these co-op player 2 limitations intentional?
I tried playing co-op with my mother and she (player 2, the orange one) was unable to jump, interact with/pick up things, or shoot portals. Do I have to get to a certain point in the game before player 2 can preform those actions?

No, you do not. The orange bot (pbody) should have the exact same limitations in co-op as the blue bot (atlas). Are you on a custom map? If not, that is very peculiar.

No, I wasn't in a custom map. It was the first level of the Cooperative Testing Initiative

Was it the Calibration Course? (You start without a portal gun, and you need to get your portal gun using your ping tool on white surfaces. You access it through the menu/having a partner who's not played co-op before.) That would make sense.

Not sure. I did start with a portal gun and so did player 2

If you both started with a portal gun then what is the problem?

The portal gun doesn't do anything and p2 also can't jump or pick things up

Could she Jump, Pickup things, or shoot portals, in single player mode? If not, maybe she may have accidently unbound all of the actions. Ask her to play single player. If you run into the same problems, try checking the controlls and rebinding everything

As said before, check your key bindings.

Well I've never had any problems with single player controllers and I use the same controller configs for both controllers. I'll try playing with my second controller
