Portal 2

I think I understand why I love Portal 2 more than Portal 1
Portal 2 has Wheatley, Oracle Turret, more emotional GLaDOS, and it's so much fun. Don't get me wrong, I love Portal 1 as also. But it was very subtle on everything that happened. Sure GLaDOS had previous killed all the scientists & stopped hunting Rat Man, but you wouldn't get that from the game so easily, or at least on the first try. But I do love the atmosphere of it. It's so unique with the windows over looking some chambers, like you almost expect to look up at see someone watching you test, when all along it was only GLaDOS, who is strangely professional during Portal 1 through out the testing. But as soon as Chell escapes it, she's upset. But I was surprised reading her lines off of wikipedia, to find she was so professional through out testing. Lol, maybe she has a professional coding written into her or she has a professional chip in her. It builds up like everything is innocent despite not seeing anyone else. And yes, I'm aware of the hints she gives to want had happened before Portal 1 started.

But Portal 2, I just love it when GLaDOS is mad, her evilness shines and it's so awesome to listen to her insult me whenever I play it! Her voice is so much prettier too in Portal 2, less computerized. It's not human sounding, still computerized, but lovelier than her Portal 1 voice in my opinion. I love it when villains show off how evil they are and that they enjoy & never regret being evil. And Wheatley! Aw, so many good things about him :3 He's so funny and kind & his dialogue is wonderful, makes you feel you are part of that world. And personally, I love British male accents :3 They are so adorable to me. (I'm American by the way). I don't know why I love them. I guess it's a nice accent. It's sad that he woken Chell to escape his boss from yelling at him for slacking at his job. But then again, why put a moron in charge of keeping the sleeping humans alive? I think whoever assigned Wheatley his job wasn't too bright either. So I don't think it's Wheatley's fault at all. Aw, and when the itch turns him evil, lol, it's an enjoyable sight :D I'm sure he's very insecure about his intelligence, and probably was called "moron" so much by other cores, that it triggers him to be more violent, especailly after he gains power. He had some fun in his reign. Seeing how easy he is triggered when he's insulted, he's very emotional for a personality core :3 And Cave Johnson's pre-recorded messages are always great for laughs & adds more back story to Old Aperture. His voice is very nice as well, I think I'd love it if there was more of him but who knows how'd GLaDOS would react meeting Cave Johnson again. It'd probably be a 50/50 chance of her getting happy memories, or her getting disturbing memories. So maybe over all it was best he didn't appear in the game. GLaDOS recalling Caroline & coming in touch with her humanity again is so beautiful, if only she had more power to talk! XC I know it's probably accurate for the potato battery to be low powered, but her voice is so pleasant. I wanted to listen her realize her past instead of her passing out from occassionally frying the potato :p It's awesome how the roles of GLaDOS & Wheatley given switched, it flowed so well. I'm sure Wheatley wanted the transfer so GLaDOS couldn't kill Chell instantly. Poor GLaDOS as wonderful a villain she is, I don't think she realized she can put up more defenses to protect herself. Wheatley at least tried to protect himself a bit better than her (you know the whole bombs & shields). But her new design is so wonderful :3 White & Black work together very well, and she was able to move more! And Oracle Turret, I don't know how that turret learned so much, but thank goodness Oracle could be saved from being recycled. Who knows, maybe Oracle is telling others in the facility of how great Chell was to save her, and also tell them of Caroline. I love the turrets before but Portal 2, just made them better :3 And the whole Animal King tribe is so cool too but probably was too strange to have in the game so they probably took it out.

But overall both games are great. I think they are both enjoyable, one can't happen without the other lol. And it's so cool to see Aperture outside of testing chambers. I really enjoyed walking around outside the testing track. I wish it could be blue printed or something. I heard that players can use cheats to leave the building & view it to see it's not complete. But people don't take that so seriously, it's mostly designed that way cause 1) you're not supposed to see it like that and 2) it's level design so the game can run well. I'm sure it'd be extremely hard to blue print or make a mine model of the building cause some rooms are solid built for never moving, and then there's test chambers that can be willed into existence & move in any direction! But I'd be so impressed if someone could model the Aperture building lol. And plus it's within a mine. It's just a confusing place lol. It would probably make the best maze ever cause it can change whenever, or GLaDOS can be a jerk and change the maze also you go.

Sorry I rambled so much, I do that when I really enjoy a game series. I just wanna keep on talking about it when all of it's topics are all dried up from being talked about.
