Please remove Frost Staff "Charging" feature
This is just not viable in the game, just change it to constant ice missiles when you re holding the left mouse button.

Or make it like a shotgun effect. Spread the ice bullets and knock back the enemies

Thank you

Just rapid fire it, thats what i do. Its easily the fastest killing Staff in the game. Charging it is not worth it, just spam it, and move faster too, its hilariously strong.

Whats bad is fire and lightning, cant be spammed, slows you down, and is overall VERY risky when surrounded.

Frost staff, just dance around them, no worries.
Frost is the only good one yeah. I use it as ranger.

"Spamming" it requires rapid clicking, which, judging from how the op said they want to hold down the button, is the issue. I usually hold down attack to attack continuously and stop or click when I need to move. It might not seem like a lot to ask, but for some people that click-click-clicking really fast is uncomfortable, difficult, or detrimental to their hands. Also when you spam click it, the character yells at you every other second about how the ability isn't ready yet because it has a very short, but existent, cooldown, and that's also annoying.

I rarely use the charged attack, except when I need that little bit of extra range, but playing using that weapon for a whole run is punishing, and my hand starts to hurt by the time I finish a run. It's like an anti-accessibility feature. I like having the option to charge for extra range, but not at the cost of having to click for every attack normally.

While I do understand that someone wouldn't like that particular playstyle of having to click at a slightly higher pace, not everything that one person or the other dislikes is an "anti-accessibility feature".

Imagine we removed everything from a game that is either difficult, or that someone doesn't like doing - we'd probably just be watching a movie in the end.^^

That being said, something that I could imagine, would be an alternate input method for weapons like the ice staff - for instance, to basically switch around the charging and the rapid fire, so you would click once to charge and click again to release, whereas holding the mouse button could do rapid fire.

the annoying part about the spam clicking is it travels like 3 feet lol

Having a charge is fine. Spam click needs to not have the 'ability not ready' voice line. Made me shut off voices entirely.

Yeah, that kind of attack input would be awesome. I don't know if that's something the developer could implement though, based on how all the other weapons work, but maybe! Something like that would be great (the only other thing I can think of would be the right click, but I like the right click ability, and changing it to the charge attack would just make the ice wand into a bow lol)

Anyway, I get what you mean by not removing difficult things, and for certain games rapid and sustained button presses are a necessary part of play. I literally cannot play them, because I have issues with my hands that would make playing them physically detrimental. That doesn't mean those games can't exist for the people who can play them and enjoy those kinds of mechanics. However, for all other attacks in this game, you're allowed to just hold the mouse button down, and it doesn't normally ask for that sustained constant clicking.

I can, of course, just not use that staff, but I like that staff, XD. There are some things that not everyone can do, and that's normal. There are other games I can only play in limited sessions or have to adapt my playstyle to lessen the impact on my hands. So it isn't about something I just dislike. That's what I meant by it seeming like "anti-accessibility". I only brought it up because Eldeman said "just spam it" and I wanted to highlight that's not always an option for everyone. It doesn't necessarily mean anything needs to be changed, it's just a fact of life, and worth keeping in mind.

Use an autoclicker and it becomes OP.
But yeah, I don't like the charging either, I'd rather it be changed. We already have right click for a special attack.
Same with the bow, charging is just unfun imo, I wish it was replaced with a different skill and give the autoattack some pierce.
