Weapon Ideas
Since there's alternative weapons accessible to every class now, I thought it could be possible to add even more to the pool the create even more possible class/weapon synergies. Here's a few a thought of while playing!

-Polearm: A spear weapon with a longer range but less splash the the sides. Special could either be a spin, or a charge forwards turning yourself into a battering ram.

-Greatsword: Kinda confused how this one isn't in the game already, but oh well! A mix of strength and dex, it would be the fastest of the two-handers with less damage to compensate. It's special could be a larger slash that's always critical.

-Dual Crossbows: Basically the hand crossbow with twice the firing rate but less accuracy for demon hunting shenanigans. Special fire could be a spray of arrows from the front, or a Overwatch Reaper "Death Blossom" style spin of projectiles.

-Scythe: I think this could be a cool kind of dark-magic two-handed weapon with its primary being normal large slashes with its alt fire being some sort of magical dark projectile. It would probably be used most by Warlocks but I think I could see any intelligence build getting some traction from it!

-Black-Powder Rifle: I don't know if firearms exist in the Hammerwatch universe, but I may as well shoot my shot. Basically a slower, heavier version of the longbow with its primary being a heavy penetrating hitscan, and its alt-fire being an "aim down sights" style attack that deals more damage to a single target.

-Black-Powder Flintlock Pistols: Either dual-wielded or offhand, they're a lot like the crossbow but slower, does more damage, has more range, and maybe less penetration.

-Whip: Kinda just throwing whatever idea out now, just a fast attacking cat-o-nine-tails that has a larger areas than normal but less damage. Special could be a flurry of whip slashes that penetrates armor.

Pretty sure the pirates and the pirate boss in Hammerwatch 2 had guns.
I'd like to see guns as a weapon too. I had an idea of a new class that would use guns, called something like Infantry or Guard. And one of the specialisations would be Pirate, and you could have a cutlass in mainhand and a blunderbuss or flintlock pistol as offhand. The gun would reload really slowly but do a ton of damage, which would make it unique and worthwhile.

I would LOVE some kind of guardsman class focused on firearms! Or a pirate if they wanna go that direction, but I would personally prefer some kind of actual designated town-guard style class. Something based around maybe standing your ground and making a firing line. I would LOVE something like that!

If guns were added I think it would be cool if the "Marksman" subclass for ranger could also benefit from it. Make it more of a "hunter" sort of class, y'know?
