Are there secrets?

I didn't find anything in the forest like hidden passageways or breakable trees or anything. Anyone else find anything?

Underground and in the castle level there are breakable walls. Haven't found anything in the overworld levels

I've found breakable walls in the caves as well, nothing in forest so far, though...

Are they obvious or do I need to hit every single wall? Are they worth doing?

EDIT: nvm I just found my very first one in the citadel and yes they are very worth it.

How many of these can spawn in an area? I thought it was one per now I checked and there's 2, probably even more but man I can't be bothered to check the whole cave.

1-2 depending on which map - 2 per cave floor, 1 temple, 2 per crypt, 1 dungeon, 2 barracks.. that's as far as I've gotten

I just ended a run with 3 on one of the cave floors and 0 on the next (yes, I was thorough).

I've found secrets in every area except the forest.

for me caves secrets are just wall licking, i can't see them at all without hitting them at least once

Use your minimap too.
You can see the cracks on the minimap when you're close to them.

I don't know if it's a secret or part of one, but on the Forest 1 when you come to that long wall with the four squares, to the left of the farthest left square in the trees you can examine a tree and it says Wood Carving "Since Old Lost Age I Shine".

The cracks in the walls show up on the map if you're close enough - they appear as a small, darkened triangle on the wall. Using the minimap or turning on the map when you're walking past flat sections makes finding them pretty easy.
