Will I have as much fun playing alone?

No idea why I pre-purchased. Game looks fun but can I play the entire game alone? Will I experience more difficulty? Is this game tailored just for co-op?

It can be played solo. The amount of fun is kind of subjective and depends on what you're looking for out of the game. I'll probably enjoy it more with other players because I like social gaming, but you won't be missing out on any of the gameplay or features by playing alone.

Unfortunately I have no one. None of my friends are as enthusiastic as me when it comes to gaming and my wife, well she had some hard time getting pass level 1 in Castle of Illusion.

You can always hop on Parsec to play online with people, then hop on the forums and ask people if they want to join you.

There are other reasons. I usually game when my daughter is asleep and people usually use mic to communicate.

And sometimes, people can be nasty, if you know what I mean.

You can use Parsec and not talk to the person

Yeah I know but some games are designed got coop and not that optimized for single player

I'm in the same boat, it really looks like a co-op focused game, gonna wait for a few review.

I'm hoping it's one of those games that balance the challenge based on the number of players.

And hopefully not as hard as Enter The Gungeon. That game was just too hard, I couldn't get anywhere. And this is from someone who loved Isaac.
