I'd like to know that, too. Cannot really play in exclusive fullscreen mode as I need to do other stuff, too on a second monitor.

On Discord people talk about windowed mode and in the PCGamingWiki it says:

'Borderless fullscreen windowed:
Enable windowed mode and use the -popupwindow parameter
'

But how ??

Another thing:
I just started the tutorial and there seems to be NO way to exit it except for ALT+F4.

Really ??

I think this is in connection with this 3rd party borderless program

this game doesn't seem to support it by nature

no, no
'Borderless Gaming' makes games borderless which are already in windowed mode - same goes for the -popupwindow parameter- which comes from Unity.
ah I see. thank you

Ok - I got it ...

How to play While True: learn() in Borderless windowed Fullscreen Mode

Steam-version (presumably)

- in the Steam-client-Games-List rightclick the game -> 'properties' -> startparameters
- insert this: -popupwindow

Epic-Store-version (tested)

- start the Epic-Launcher
- to get access to the settings click on 'Unreal Engine' (not an 'epic' design-choice)
- click 'Settings'
- scroll down and click on 'While True: learn()'
- click 'additional startup-parameters' (or some other translation)
- enter in that box: -popupwindow
- start the game

to switch to Windowed mode, press LEFT-ALT + ENTER
(you will probably see no difference after doing that - just test it)

But it isn't working for me.
Does it for u?

I have the Epic version and doing some testing right now - strange behaviour - sometimes it starts in windowed-mode and sometimes in exclusive fullscreen - will inform you in a bit

here's the solution:

to switch to Windowed mode, press LEFT-ALT + ENTER

you will probably see no difference after doing that - just test it.
That's what confused me - I saw no difference immediately ...

It creates a window, but it's fixed, can't change size.

I usually play on 1920x1080 and have it windowed on my right desktop and left I have open a stream or work stuff or whatever.
I don't need fullscreen at all xD especially not a puzzle game *lol

I have 1920x1200 and with the -popupwindow-parameter it's borderless fullscreen and without it it is a window bigger than my screen. for me the problem is solved - though this stuff should be in the ingame-settings-menu these days - really.

maybe this info helps you, however:

in another thread two years ago someone asked:
- How do I play in windowed mode on 1080p now it is stuck at 1680x1050 ?

and the devs answered:
- For now, it is impossible.

that's all I could find about this on all the Internet . . .
good luck

thanks for all the testing and answering

with " -popupwindow" I can't even Alt + Enter any more

anyway, I will skip the game. not in the tinkering mood right now *lol

thx again !

On steam this worked for me in the parameters:
-screen-height 1080 -screen-width 1920 -popupwindow

Quick update: Currently I noticed game opens in windowed mode but not fit to screen and settings icon is greyed out and won't work. You have to maximize the window first then settings icon becomes functional, and you can change from windows mode.
