I'm thinking about some sort of asynchronous challenge system where fiends can send challenges to each other. But it's just an idea at the moment.
If there's a big demand, I might look at local co-op play. But that would probably be after full release next year.
No need to mess with online netcode, since nowadays it's possible to use Parsec[parsecgaming.com] to play any local co-op game online, so it'd work perfectly in sync, even using openmic!
I think local co-op is the way to go.
But this looks like a way people could play over the net: https://parsecgaming.com/
(Thanks Darkness)
Has anyone tried it?
Parsec is cool, played some coop games with friends thought it.
Usually the joystick input is flawlessly in games that don't demand a very fast response time, like fighting games.
Beat Hazard 2 may work
I tested lots of games with a few friends, and I use it every weekend with one friend, sometimes recording the gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/poepra2/search?query=parsec
It even received a "party-finder" system recently that acts like an open lobby so others can find your game and request to join.
