Are there any plans for a Linux port/release?
I would really love this as I much prefer Linux over Windows nowadays
It's the only drawback keeping me from purchasing the game

Hi
I can put the request forward to the dev, but it is up to them.
They are currently working on their next game though, and I'm not sure if they would come back to 1bitHeart.
I think the engine 1bitheart was made on doesn't support linux, I know a lot of RPGMaker esque engines (which 1bh was made in Wolf which I hear is a lot harder even from a translation side to mess around with) It's possible, but I think it'd only work if maybe Miwashiba got someone to port it over to another engine, that way it doesn't mess with their work. They're working on another Wolf RPG game as well as a horror visual novel, on top of working on their Danganronpa fanmade series of videos so I don't think they have enough time to put porting a game of their over on top of that.

I just bought the game and it runs well under steam's proton (also includes the launch configuration). It's not heavy to begin with, but at least I know it runs and doesn't flip out.

I tried to rum it with Proton, but I keep getting the following error:

Read Error
Cannot locate basic info data Z:\home/<user>/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/1bitHeart/Data/BasicData/Game.dat

Anyone have any idea of how to fix this?

I've tried verifying the files, and reinstalling them. Googling the error doesn't produce any useful leads.
