I haven't played them all yet 😭 as I don't have an awful lot of free time, but I have started 1BitHeart and bought a few others for the future. It's really cool so far, I'm glad to see others who enjoy Miwashiba's work

Oh, that's alright. It's nice to hear you've been enjoying 1BitHeart so far! I hope you get the opportunity to try the other games as well.

I'm glad you enjoy miwashiba's games so much! If you ever wanna talk about them, please feel free to hmu whenever because I'm always down to do so ...And also I've already talked my friends' ears off about them but ignore that part lol

My favorite miwashiba game is..... unsurprisingly, Alice Mare if you look at my profile lol. :Alicemare_Allen: I could write an essay why but I guess a tl;dr version is because the game's themes and characters appealed to me the most (or I just get quickly protective over sad kids, which it has the most of out of all the games so far).

If there's another miwashiba game to keep your eye on, there's also 'Ayakashi Akashi'!
It's an occult mystery visual novel, so it's a rather different format from the rest of the games, that have been made in wolf rpg editor. They started working on the game around the same time as 'The Faceless Double', so there's also a demo that you can play on vgperson's website:

Also, you REALLY REALLY wanna wait to see if it's possible to play 1BeatHeart on steam, you can always ask them on twitter (@miwasiba is their main twitter, though @miwasibaS is specifically focused on their original works). They are, at the very least, willing to do their best to respond to English comments back in English since they're aware that they have fans from overseas. If not, you can at least wait until after The Faceless Double to see what they'll plan to put on Steam next.

I personally feel like 1BeatHeart has a low chance on making it to Steam though. Not only due to the fact that it's more shorter (since... all the friend-making was cut out lol) but also because the ending was left on a cliffhanger... and miwashiba has admitted a couple of times (one of them being in an afterword for lieat's novel) that they don't really like going back on a story once they're finished with it since they tend to forget how to write their characters.

This isn't concrete fact though, they've also once said on tumblr that the games are considered different worlds from each other and crossovers are unlikely but now Theo and Efina are actually planned to cameo in steam version of The Faceless Double, so things CAN change on a whim!

Thank you so much for your response! Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier.

Ah, I can see why you like Alice Mare. :) I thought the setting was really interesting and it made me wonder about the world outside the orphanage (?) it's set in. As is often the case with stories that take part in a dream world, or dream worlds in this case, there's a lot of ambiguity - but that's part of the charm.

Thank you for letting me know about 'Ayakashi Akashi,' I'll have to give that a look. Regarding 1BeatHeart, I would like it if it were on Steam, but Steam is a convenience more than a necessity. I'll ask Miwashiba about a possible Steam release but I should probably just go for it and play it regardless, especially if it's short.

I suppose we'll see if Miwashiba will return to the stories they've completed, but regardless, I'm really excited to see what's next! It would be fun to see Efina and Theo in The Faceless Double for sure. If there's room for that, then maybe we can see a few familiar faces from Alice Mare and 1BitHeart too?
