Alright, all good. Just want to be sure. I guess I'll save up for a headset and come back to this later!
Sounds amazing. Just bought a Switch though, so I guess an Oculus Rift will be my next major purchase.
No news about a new one. If you want to play homebrew games, definitely get a preowned one with the right serial number. Otherwise I'd definitely reccomend getting a switch. If you can, wait for a sale; the games alone have been ~$80 in store on their own, but it's absolutely brilliant. Serves as a handheld and can be connected to a TV as a console.
Wait, there is a Non-VR version of the game? SyntheticJackalope disagrees, but I'm interested :O
Oh yeah, I've got the original SUPERHOT already. 100%ed it. If I want SUPERHOT VR though, I need a VR headset? Unlike VRChat or something, which supports non-headset play?
the vr levels are set up in such a way that playing them on a flat screen without wand controllers it would be boring, because you do not move around the level at all. its a good game in vr but if you have already played the original im not sure what more you would get
It's basically because, one, decent VR headsets are not remotely cheap, and two, thanks to the pandemic it's not really easy to have products shipped anyway, so I don't think I'm capable of getting a VR headset right now. At any rate, I used to play AAA games at 240p (via custom changes) just to run them before I got a gaming pc, so I'm well adjusted to poor looking games; the gameplay matters more.
I'm asking whether or not the game would actually boot up and support mouse and keyboard gameplay without a headset. I'm not asking for opinions as to whether or not I'd enjoy a non-VR experience.
I understand. I honestly didn't look at vr games until I had headset because it frustrated me so. I used to resent vr games until I got hmd... now I wish more games were vr.
Can't win. Stay safe :)
