"Mind Blown" / "Super Power" not working.
I am up to the part where i clentch my fists to kill sombody or "Blow their mind" and i can not get it to work.

i follow the instructions and i pass it the first time no problems however when i get to the next part where there is two red men i can only use the power once and not again after forcing me to kill the other dude with his gun.
the next part is the same when the two dudes are up the top. SOMETIMES i can mind blow one of them other times i can not but never both of them.

What am i doing wrong?

you do have to kind of aim it at the start, beyond that if your hands are all glitchy looking its on a cooldown and cannot be used for a certain amount of in game time.

based on the last part my guess is your doin it back to back without moving much so its not restoring the ability at all.

Aim your hands, hold the grip buttons on both controllers (the ones on the sides of the handles), then pull and hold both triggers. I imagine you're not holding the grip buttons, but sometimes do it by accident?

This! It took me awhile to realize I had to use the grip buttons, i would hit them by accident once in awhile without knowing it, causing me to be confused as to the random nature of this power. So OP make sure your also using the grip buttons.

Also can't get past this. The super power works in the tutorial and in the next level where there's one unarmed guy and one with a gun. However, I can only get it to work on the guy with the gun once the unarmed guy's dead.

When I get to the two guys in the tower, it just won't activate - despite me doing the same as I did earlier, pressing both trigger and grip buttons and whatnot.

Feels like a bug. Vive user here.

For others who are stuck, here's a workaround for the two levels after the mind blown tutorial. In the first level after, you have two opponents - one unarmed and one armed. Kill both so you end up with a gun. Before you proceed to the next level (two guys in a tower), toss the gun over to the second level's play area. It's not far from the first level and should be just up beyond the grab pyramid that ends the first level.

Done right, you should (in the second level) now have a gun you can pick up and shoot the two guys in the tower with. No need to use the malfunctioning mind blown power!

I ran into this issue as well with this power. I tried a few times, but I was not able to use the power on the two dudes in the tower. But I will try the work around next time I play.

I have discovered that this only works for me if my hands are palms down. if my thumb is at the top it doesnt work for me

Thanks so much for the suggestion, worked like a charm and now I have a fun strategy for future tricky transitions. It's weird that I can use the dumb power on levels after that one, but I never managed it on the tutorial stages.
Thanks for helping me get back to enjoying the game!

This bug still exists as of Jan 2018. The workaround above worked for me after a few tries. Just throw the gun and then do the grab while its in flight, so you can catch it in the next area. If it hits the ground it will break.

I found this thread because of this issue.

Turns out the aiming at distance is a little finicky. Just go to one side and aim at the dude in the other side of the tower, and vice Verda.

Try using your hands in different positions and make sure your both fists are aiming at the chosen enemy. This is the last resort mechanic and the level on which it has to be used to progress is quite forgiving on purpose. It is a tutorial, so do check which positions work, essentially - learn this new superpower you got.

Do note that the efficiency of Mindwave is governed partially by your room setup, since it needs tracking, Make sure your hands are always visible to the sensors.

The problem, for me, wasn't that I didn't know how to activate the super power. I basically could in most situations except when up against the two guys in the tower.

I tried quite a bit and, like others, just couldn't make it work. Like I wrote, it definitely seemed like a bug and not just a case of user gesturing error.

Just like with shooting, aiming your power at larger distances is harder. Even more so, as you do not have any sights to aim. This is purposeful; the mindwave is supposed to be the last resort, not your main weapon. I do not say you couldn't have encountered a bug, as it is the nature of bugs to be unexpected. However, I'd say there is much higher chance that you had troubles aiming it at a distance as this is exactly the point of the two guys in the tower level - to make sure the player will notice the difference in aiming.

Basically, the fists aim at some wider area but the lines that you could draw outward from them, in the center, should meet at an enemy. It might be tricky! That's the thing with weapons of last resort.

Have you progressed further or are you stuck at the tower?

I progressed by getting around it by throwing a gun from the previous level and then simply shooting the two guys. My workaround is posted further up this thread and seems to have helped a few others who were also stuck.

It's quite a while ago.
