We made a short video for the new control scheme for Vive (0:50 sec).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UGFOzrIlKg&t=0m50s
They have alternate controls for Vive you can get the in the Beta branch. They were the original, but lots of complaints about wrist pain with the excessive use of the grip button.
How about you stop being a massive dillweed?
cut it out fart knocker!
but yeah the only issue i had with the grip buttons last time i played was i'd let go of em, but continue to hold the object. nothing like going to throw your knife only to kinda flail it around and hav to line up for another throw.
dont know if that was fixed or not. i dont mind the grip buttons, just need it to function xD.
*Edit/Update: 7.13*
Finished it last night and SuperHot is easily one of my favorite VR games now. Original controls are the way to go. After a couple of rounds it clicked and imo is the ideal method.
Worse than the kind of people that gives up playing the guitar because the strings hurt their fingertips.
Well, I'm glad it's possible to revert to original controlers. Thanks, developer. And I'm sorry for what you have to stand from us.
If not then whoever had the idea of new controls better have thought of an options menu
