I suppose this sentiment comes from people with Destiny or GTA Online backgrounds, but these games are focused on the endgame and are supported for many years to keep milking players for as long as possible.
Remnant is not a games-as-service project nor is it an MMORPG.
Just wanted to point that out, it's a lot more than just multiplayer online games like Destiny/GTA that keep getting updates and new content. I see the excuse that it's only MMORPG style games which are still updated and supported far too often and it's simply not true if you look around on Steam.
My point was that after releasing the game they only added one free update (other than bug fixes of course) which was Leto's Lab while everything else has been DLC specifically that you have to buy. In terms of business practices, that makes the most logical sense to do, but in terms of actually taking care of your game and player base it is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to do. I know I wasn't the only one expecting more updates when the game first came out and announced Leto's Lab as a free update, however that was it.
Anyway not trying to start a fight just wanted to point out that Whitemane's statement isn't true.
