The Iskal queen fight is just bad

In every other boss fight you can learn from the fight, here I just die and have no idea what I did wrong, after reading up like 5 guides I made it to 3/4 of her health but now she did something new I have no idea how defend from (stuck in some kind of smog where I can only move very slowly without the possibility to evade, here she walks up to me and kills me in a cutscene).
Is it supposed to be impossible without the guidance of ppl who already did this fight?

when the fog is there shoot her in the head, with enough damage, she gets staggered.
a good tip is to use the frozen status from the Reisum dlc as it will slow her movements.
also the Hive Cannon is super useful against her for 2 reasons :
-one being the armor reduction meaning you do more damage
-two being in first phase when she sends waves of beetles on you, just put a cloud or 2 in front of you and you'll be safe

make sure you aren't using burden of the gambler for the 2nd phase transition (this is also where you can drop a stalactite on her for the alt kill).

With the void armor and a bleed build, I've killed her in her second phase by just mashing melee attacks with the Scar of The Jungle God. It's not flashy but it gets done.
