Best weapons and gear?

I played through this game back at release and I remember most of the stuff I used to beat the game getting nerfed to hell shortly before I stopped playing. What are the current top weapons and gear setups? I have all the dlcs if that matters.

When I feel like cake walking I use:
Full Leto's
Razorwire Necklace
Bloodletter's Insignia
Razorstone
Devastator
Machine pistol with Fan of Knives
Oh, and the claws of course...don't forget the claws.

It's pretty much easy mode.

Clearly the "best" is going to be based on how you play though.

Any weapon you can mod, Fan of Knives and Bloodletter's Insignia as this combo makes you extremely difficult to kill no matter the armor as long as you dodge as needed. If you wanna be a walking tank as a melee build, Leto's Armor with Petrified Maul, Razorstone, Bloodletter's Insignia and Terror Margin. Main mod needed to make it easier Corrosive Aura to weaken stronger enemies. Aside from those specific combos everything in the game is good in its own way as any weapon is viable it just boils down to preference.
