I can't beat Gorefist

Starting to get to the point of frustration. Hes to fast and all the exploding adds. Done the battle about 20 times. Usually get killed by the adds and not the Boss.

reroll the campaign/adventure map and try to get another boss to spawn. gorefist is one of the most unbalanced bosses in the game overall. he is like 3 times harder than his counterpart. kinda like the teleporting running away ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in corsus which is 3 times harder than the other 3 bosses that could spawn.

especially solo gorefist is a huge pain in the ass. especially early on for first timers when youre undergeared.

rerolling is part of the regular gameplay loop. dont be afraid to use it.

I got completely stuck on him too, ended up opening my game to public just to beat him as i got unlucky with re-rolls ( i swear this game has a thing for giving me a hard arse time on Normal diff)

I finally got him at level 20 with plus 1 gear. I just went in over and over and when I finally got him, it seemed like an easy run...I was actually surprised that I killed him that easily. I still had 2 hearts left. You just have to get the bombers asap and gorefist isn't really a problem. I know how you feel, I almost uninstalled last night! Check out some u-tube guides and keep at it and you will get him.
Question for some vets; If I got him first, will he re-spawn again as a boss this play through?

lvl 3/4/5 coach gun with smg/repeater with hotshot mod, ignore gorefist when he calls the adds and deal with them, or just roll thru their explosion (start rolling the moment they stop and start their exploding animation)

Edit: or the easier way would be open the game to public and let others help/ join you

It is a case of making sure you are aware of your surroundings so you don't get boxed in. Then when he summon, focus on dodging him while you handle the adds. Try to dodge past him rather than away and put him between you and the adds. Sometimes he can take them out for you.

If you can take an add out in a distance, do so, otherwise save your dodge when they stop to explode. Keep enough space to move clear of the gas clouds. Do a double-dodge if in doubt but don't spam it or run because you can never buy space that way. When the coast is clear, get your few shots in (wait, dodge, counter-attack), then repeat. There is only a finite number of adds.

He's not so bad once you can avoid panicking and just fight him methodically. It's all about positioning. It helps if you know the layout so if you need to, just do a suicide run to look around and see where all the spaces and ledges are.

I remember when I first met him I ran around a long table and played tag. Only ever stopping to dodge, shot exploding mobs, and taking quick shots at the boss as he tries to chase me around the table.

Gorefist was my first boss to. I beat him after a few tries but damn was i salty about the diffuculty of the boss. But honestly be happy you dont have riphide, that one was a pain for me. Now i ran trought the game on hard i feel a bit more confident and and i easily kill gorefist on hard, so keep trying. There are way worse bosses imo, like bosses who delay or speed up their attacks so you constanly miss dodging.

Gorefist is a severe difficulty spike when you meet him as your first boss
He is a pushover though once you get to know him - even with a fresh char
Best advice I can give is to head over to the right side of the arena
Destroy the bunch of boxes in the middle, and you'll have a big open space
Use this space to dance around him & manage the battle / the adds
If you try to fight in tight spaces or where visibility is low you will be dead
All his attacks are heavily telegraphed & easily dodgeable - with space

You can glitch him stuck by going into the little booth on your left he will get stuck at the little electrical box near the bottom of the stairs then just pew pew him and shoot adds occasionally. Might need to run in and out a few times by going up stairs and jumping out window. Takes a few tries then his path just messes up and he gets stuck.

My big thing with Gorefist when I first started was dodging his attacks... I'm terrible at dodging in general but especially with a boss.. jumping into him made it so much easier, the hit would just go behind you and you wouldn't get hit or take the damage. the adds, I just ran up the stairs and tunneled them into the walkway and killed them then jumped off the ledge back to the floor to fight boss. not sure if it'll help or not but GL!

the adds only spawn during his thorn phase. dps, when he goes thorn start running around and focusing on adds, but never stay in one spot for too long. this boss is extremely easy if you follow this
