DLC needed for Coop play?

I got this game free via the Epic store when they were giving it away, So far I'm not very far into it, the first sewer area from the Earth realm area, is where I left it.

My question is for Co-op play do most people have the DLCs or just base game?

At the moment my game is set to Offline mode/solo but as I'm not always the best at getting these types of "dark souls" like games complete I did think of possibly getting some help or just seeing how much more it could be in co-op play.

you can co-op without dlc. try it its fun.
