Editing Character Appearance After Creation?
Hello, I am trying to change my characters appearance, I've already found the save file I need to edit in the app data folder. However I'm having trouble deciphering it in notepad++.

After changing what I think was hair color and hair style and loading up the game, I was forced to recover my profile at the main menu and my changes weren't applied.
Anyone know how to properly edit these parameters?

Ctrl + F the stuff you want to change, change it (duh), use the checksum fixer above and it should work. Also, change the second variable you find, not the first one. If there are two HeadType, change the second.

Ive attempted to do this, editing the profile, using the checksum fixer etc. however it always ends up writing over any edit I do. I can't really set the file to read only either as the file appears to save things like items/progression etc.

Really annoying as I hate the voice my character has.

I don't really figure out how this works. I changed the appearance, saved the edited file, and when I open it with checksum it shows a error window and nothing is changed. When I restart the game it says: "file corrupted." and replace it with backup

My guess would be that a recent update changed something in the files that prevents the method from working, since I'm changing the same values I would previously change with no problem and using the same fixer I used to, but my saves are also getting corrupted.

Aye, same problem here. though it also lost the backup along the way as well. hopefully a full wipe and reinstall will bring back my 45hrs. if not i'll stream it from the beginning with the character i want :steamsalty:
