How is this game solo? I heard its not great.
I heard this game is way, way harder solo than with a group, that its not properly scaled for solo?

I finished it 4 times on Epic, but in the first run it was very useful for me to play in cooperative ... from the third run onwards it becomes easier and easier and it is possible to finish it easily alone.
But I've always finished Undiyng by myself, even on the first run. Keep in mind that the bosses, when playing co-op, are stronger…
the Ent, in cooperation, on the first run is something terrifying ... The Ent on the fourth run alone is a walk

It's great solo, and I never encountered a situation or boss that could not be soloed.

I prefer solo. there are situations where you can benefit from another player drawing aggro or reviving you, but there is scaling to make enemies tougher in coop. as well as weapon mods to draw aggro or summon minions to fight for you.

my first playthrough was solo, and all my apocalypse playthroughs (including on a fresh character) were solo too.

I could see some fights being a lot easier with other players, but I've completed the game a few times and never once played with another person. You might find some builds unworkable solo though.

It's not about easier, it's just more fun to play co op or multiplayer, but to each his own.

My first full run of this game's campaign was solo. Probably 90% of my playtime is solo. I found the game enjoyable and great all the way through.

Remnant can be "easier" in multiplayer in the same ways as Dark Souls: it gives the enemies another person to focus on, though I also believe enemy HP scales up based on the number of players in the game.

You will be fine playing this game solo, assuming you have reasonable situational awareness.

It depends on how good you are in this game, either physically(pro dodging) or mentally (build & decision making). Players who can handle this game will find solo easier.

The only time multiplayer felt easier is when other party members are equally skilled or better. Because it's harder to deal a boosted stats boss while having dead team members.

Someone told me you need the gear you get in Co-op to beat it in solo. Anyway, it's gear that allows you to beat the encounters. Gear that I never saw because no friends wanted to play Remnant.

So I would say the Devs need to allow better items into the early game for solo players because without them you might just quit and uninstall like I did. You play these levels over and over and die at about the same point each time. It becomes like watching paint peel instead of exciting.

If you die easily on normal difficulty and while playing solo, then you most likely will not be able to face most of the encounters anyway. I'm not one to just say get gud, but at this point, it seems that this kind of player refuses to learn and understand any new kind of information, to the point to question how successfully you live your life, save for the respectable older gentleman which still try newer games.

dudes, comon ... at the beginning, new to the game and/or to the genre, it's hard af. you need help and some experienced players alongside, otherwise it's frustrating, no matter how big your specific balls might be

In short, about 80% of the game is quite playable solo, but 20% might makes you regret/wonder. In that 20% includes certain areas or bosses that are far more easier when in a team of at least 2 for the sake of being able to manage the aggro of the boss or mobs while the other can heal or cure itself safely or so that one can shoot at the weak point of a boss.

For example, certain bosses are extremely aggressive and others are a team of 2 bosses or a boss that can respawns mobs every time you clean them up. Being 2 even the field a bit while being alone, while possible, requires a deep understanding of the game layouts and the enemies abilities and reaches.

I'm not that great of a player but still managed to beat this game as a solo player.

it's much easier then other souls like games in my opinnion.

I actually prefer to play it solo. It's great. I finished the 20 bosses challenge too in solo, so everything is doable
I personally only ever play solo & it's pretty enjoyable so far; yes there are some bits which aren't exactly easy but, once you've figured out the mechanics, you're good to go :)

It's easier solo, but more fun in a group. Groups just get you killed more because most people don't actually know the fights.
